Identity Verification (KYC) Policy

Identity Verification (KYC) Policy

1. Introduction

The Identity Verification (KYC) Policy defines the procedures and requirements used by Glancers to verify the identity of its users.

This policy is essential for preventing fraud, supporting Glancers' compliance obligations, and maintaining trust across the platform, consistent with the AML (Anti-Money Laundering) Policy. This Policy does not represent that Glancers holds a financial-institution license or regulatory status.

By using the Platform, users agree to undergo identity verification when required.

2. Verification Process

2.1 Multi-Step Verification

The verification process may include: - Email verification - Phone number verification - Government-issued ID verification - Biometric verification (if required)

Completion of all steps may be required for full account functionality.

2.2 Biometric Verification (Face Match)

Glancers may: - Use facial recognition technology, which may involve a third-party identity-verification service provider (see Section 2.6), to match a user's live selfie image with their submitted ID document

This process is intended to help confirm that the account holder is the person whose identity was submitted.

2.3 Manual Review & Escalation

In cases of uncertainty or flagged risk: - The compliance team may conduct manual document review - Users may be required to participate in a live video verification session

Failure to comply may result in account restrictions.

2.4 Ongoing & Re-Verification

Glancers reserves the right to: - Request re-verification periodically - Require updated documents upon expiration - Trigger re-verification for unusual or high-value transactions

2.5 Verification Timeline

Glancers aims to review verification submissions within: - 24–48 business hours (standard cases)

Delays may occur in cases requiring manual review or additional documentation.

2.6 Identity-Verification Data

The table below describes the identity-verification data elements that may be processed, who collects and processes them, and why. Handling differs by element: some elements are processed primarily by Glancers' identity-verification service provider, and others become part of the User's verified profile held by Glancers.

DATA ELEMENT COLLECTED BY PROCESSED BY PURPOSE ID document image Platform (User upload) Identity-verification service provider, and Glancers where it stores the image Identity verification Selfie, liveness image, or liveness video Platform (User capture) Identity-verification service provider Liveness and face-match verification Face-match and liveness results, including any confidence score the service provider supplies Identity-verification service provider (derived) Service provider, with the result relayed to Glancers Identity-verification outcome and fraud prevention Any biometric template created by the service provider's technology Identity-verification service provider (derived) Service provider Face-matching computation Name, date of birth, document number, address, and document expiry date Platform or service-provider extraction Glancers and the service provider Identity verification, eligibility, account records, and re-verification scheduling (Section 2.4)

Identity-verification data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes stated above or as required by applicable law, as described in the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing & Protection Policy. The legal basis for processing identity-verification data, including any biometric data, is the basis that applies under applicable data protection law, as stated in the Privacy Policy; where applicable law requires a User's explicit consent for a specific category of data, that consent is requested before that data is processed.

Section 4 describes the security standard applied to identity-verification data that Glancers itself stores; it does not represent that every document, image, or biometric artifact is retained by Glancers rather than by the service provider.

3. Required Documents

3.1 Personal Identification Documents

Users must provide one of the following valid documents: - Passport - National ID card - Driver’s license (where accepted)

Documents must: - Be valid (not expired) - Be clear and fully visible - Match the account holder’s identity

3.2 Proof of Address

Users may be required to submit: - Recent bank statement - Utility bill - Official government-issued document

Documents must: - Clearly show the user’s name and address - Be recent (e.g., within the last 3 months)

3.3 Business & Entity Verification

For company accounts, the following may be required: - Valid business registration certificate - Tax identification number (if applicable) - Authorized representative documentation

The individual managing the account must also complete personal verification.

Companies must: - Notify Glancers immediately if the authorized representative changes - Complete re-verification for the new representative

3.4 Document Standards & Validation

The following are strictly prohibited: - Edited or manipulated documents - Expired identification - Blurry or incomplete images

Glancers may reject any document that does not meet verification standards.

3.5 Language & Translation Requirements

Documents submitted in languages not supported by the platform (e.g., non-English or non-Arabic) may: - Require certified translation - Be subject to additional verification steps

Glancers may recommend submitting a passport for easier global validation.

4. Data Protection & Privacy of Identity Documents

For whichever identity-verification data elements Glancers itself stores (see Section 2.6, which explains that this varies by element), Glancers commits to: - Encrypt that data using appropriate security standards - Store it in a secure, access-restricted environment - Limit access to authorized compliance personnel only

For identity-verification data elements processed or retained primarily by a third-party verification vendor (see Section 2.6), the vendor's own security and retention practices apply, subject to Glancers' contractual and data-protection oversight of that vendor.

Identity documents and related verification data will: - Not be shared with an unauthorized party - Only be used for verification, compliance, and legal obligations

5. Enforcement

Glancers reserves the right to: - Restrict account functionality until verification is completed - Suspend or terminate accounts with fraudulent or unverifiable identities - Share necessary information with financial institutions or authorities when required by law

6. Final Statement

Identity verification is a critical component of platform security and compliance.

By implementing structured KYC procedures, Glancers aims to provide a safer environment for users and to support its fraud-prevention and applicable regulatory obligations.
